Obituary for Judith "Judy" Ann Floyd (Boley)
Judith Ann Boley Floyd, was born on September 18, 1948 at Runa, WV. She passed away peacefully at home on December 7, 2016 surrounded by family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kyle and Anna Mae Boley of Summersville, WV and also an infant baby brother, Johnnie and half-brother, Harry David Thomas of Runa, WV.
Judy is survived by her loving husband Herb of Little Birch, WV; Son, Chip and wife Judy, of Little Birch, WV; daughter, Cheryl and husband Doug Varner of Canvas, WV and two grandsons, Harley Floyd and Ashton Varner whom she loved dearly. Also surviving is brother, Joe and wife Helen of Elkmont, AL, sisters, Janye and husband Gary Moore, of Runa, WV, Julia Tinnel of Lost Creek, WV and Jennie Ward of Lewisburg, WV and half-brother Bill Thomas of Ravenna, OH. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and Aunt Jayne Thomas of Jacksonville, FL; and her beloved fur babies, Zoie, Codie and Bella.
Judy was an avid bowler and she proudly placed second at the National Bowling Tournament in Reno, NV in 2009. She loved camping with friends and family. She served as Chapter President of Country Roads and Good Sam’s Club for 8 years. She loved to make apple butter at the club and serving the West Virginia State Samboree Chapter. She was employed by the Braxton County Board of Education for 35 years and worked at various positions. She also was a Braxton County Fair Board Member and enjoyed working and meeting new people at the fair every year.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 3-6:00 p.m. at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Drive, Flatwoods, WV 26621. Following funeral services and at the wishes of Judy and her family her body will be cremated. Condolences and fond memories may be shared with the family at stockertpaletti.com.
