Obituary for Vivianne D. Hefner
Vivianne Doraine Hefner, 86, of Burnsville, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2017, at Woodlands Retirement Community in Huntington, WV.
Born March 31, 1930 in Burnsville, WV, she is predeceased by her parents, Wallace H. Hefner and Roma (Cutlip) Hefner, her sister and brother-in-law, Iris and Glen Vannoy, her brother-in-law, Bernard Jolley, and her niece, Martha Guyette.
Vivianne is survived by her son, E. C. Mollohan ll (Chris) and daughter, Cynthia J. Taylor (Alan), her sister, Claudette Jolley, and her brothers, Tom Hefner (Dorothy), and Wally Hefner (Barbara). She had 4 grandchildren, Nathan (Deana), Tim (Kelly), Suzy, and Patrick, and 2 great grandsons, Aidan and Andrew. She was a beloved aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
Vivianne attended Marshall University then taught high school business classes for 30 years. She later worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. She was devoted to the care of her parents in Burnsville where she also served God by playing piano and organ for her beloved United Methodist Church. Vivianne continued to serve via her music during later years at Pennbrooke Fairways in Florida as the accompanist of Pennbrooke Chorus and of the Community Church. Her years in Pennbrooke were some of her most cherished. She will be tremendously missed by her family and many treasured friends.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Woodlands Retirement Community, Huntington, WV, for their superb care and support during Vivianne’s final days.
The family is appreciative of all efforts by staff at Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home in Flatwoods, WV. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11a-1p with a service at 1p officiated by Pastor Mike Ludle on Saturday, January 14, 2017. Burial to be in Tichenel Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
