Obituary for Lucille "Lou" Long Miller

Lucille “Lou” Long Miller, 76, of Sutton, WV, departed this life on Friday, October 21, 2016. She was born on October 25, 1939, in Sutton, WV, the daughter of the late Carlon H. and Pauline (Caldwell) Long. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billie J. Miller; son, Michael Miller and a grandson, Matthew Sears.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Cherlyn McCourt (Jamie), Sutton, WV and Janice Sears (Rick) of Webster, FL; son Billy Miller (Evelyn), Sutton, WV; sister, Phyllis Harris, Carson City, NV; brothers Gary Long, Columbia, SC and Charles Long, Youngstown, OH. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Lou was a Baptist by faith and enjoyed working in her flower beds and gardening. However, her favorite pastime was playing Bingo whenever the opportunity presented itself. Lou was loved by many and touched many hearts during her lifetime. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated and there will be no service.
In lieu of flowers or monetary donations to the family, Lou would want all donations made in honor of her, to Troy Stover. Those that are not aware of the situation, Troy is 14 years old and battling leukemia. Lou thought of his Granny, Regina Davis, as a daughter and would want to do all that she could do to help Troy. You may send donations to The Works Salon & Spa, 531 Enterprise Drive, Gassaway, WV 26624 or you may drop it off at that location. Checks should be made payable to Cherlyn McCourt or Regina Davis.
