Obituary for Willard Dale Craig
Willard Dale Craig ,70, of Walkersville, WV, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at home.
He was born on March 20, 1946 in Weston, WV. He was the son of William Craig and Clara (Hull) Craig, who precede him in death. He is also preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Craig.
Those left to cherish his memory are sons, Terry Craig and Tim Craig and one daughter, Lisa Craig, all of Walkersville, WV. Two grandchildren, Candace Herrod and Seth Moore. Also surviving is one brother, Cline Craig, also of Walkersville.
Willard was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the Army, and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal along with others. He worked in the timber industry, working for Craig & Son Lumber. He had many hobbies; he enjoyed working on cars, fishing, and helping neighbors with tasks. He also loved to spend time with his family, getting together for cook outs, swimming, camping and especially making breakfast for his grand-kids. He always made friends and family feel welcome to come home.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Craig Cemetery in Walkersville, WV with Pastor Jason Allen officiating. Interment will follow.
