William Walker Shaver, 74, of Exchange, WV passed away at his home on November 16, 2015. He was born October 31, 1941 in Raleigh County, WV and was the son of the late Okey Shaver and Lelah (Wilson) Shaver. Also preceding him in death was a sister, Wilma M. Munsey.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Wanda S. Bailey, Maryland, Wavalene Wood of Beckley, WV, Marcene Cook of Springhill, FL and Zelma Knippenberg of Fort St. Lucie, FL. He is also survived by his special friend, Alvie Loyd.
William enjoyed watching sports and westerns. He had moved to his grandparents’ family farm in Exchange and enjoyed the quiet that he found there.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Road, Flatwoods, WV 26621, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Alvie Loyd. Atonement will follow the service in the Blue Ridge Cemetery, Beckley, WV.
