Thomas “Tinker “Jackson Blake, 82, of Orlando, WV, went to be with the Lord on February 20, 2015. He was born on April 11, 1932 in Orlando, WV to the late Auzie and Iva (Wine) Blake of Orlando, WV.
Thomas is also preceded in death by his wife, Madelyn I. Blake and brother, James Blake of Weston, WV.
Those left to honor his memory are brothers, William “Bill” Blake and wife Velva Jean of Weston, WV and Jesse Blake and wife Leila of Duck, WV; sister, Mary Jane Blake and husband Homer of Walkersville, WV; several nieces and nephews.
Thomas was a lineman, working for Pennline throughout the 1960’s and also T.A. Chapman throughout the 1970’s. He also worked as a farmhand. He was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting deer, rabbit and squirrel. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening and canning.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home at 378 Flatwoods Corner Rd. in Flatwoods, WV 26621. Funeral Services will follow visitation at 2:00p.m at Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home with Pastor Jesse Blake officiating. Interment will follow in the Little Kanawha Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Heaters, WV.
