Damon Lester Jarvis, 48, of 229 Bellevue Drive, Huntington, WV passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2014. He was born on October 26, 1965 in Gassaway, WV a son of the late Percy Jarvis and Susan (Dobbins) Jarvis. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Okey, Jerry, Harold, Douglas, and Dexter Jarvis.
Mr. Jarvis is survived by three children Robert Jarvis, Brandon Jarvis, and Carla Jarvis all of Frametown, WV. Also surviving are two brothers David Jarvis, Bobby Greenlief, and four sisters Carolyn Dobbins, Mildred Jenkins, Hazel Cobb, and Vivian Bailey.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Road, Flatwoods, WV 26621 from 12-2pm. Funeral services will follow visitation at 2:00 pm from the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Chapel with Reverend Jimmy Adkins officiating. Interment will follow services in the White-Jarvis Cemetery. On Saturday, August 30, 2014 will be holding a benefit dinner at the Frametown Community Building in honor of Damon Lester Jarvis starting at 5:00 pm till the food runs out everyone is welcome.
