Obituary for Delores Jean Bender
Delores Jean Bender, 75, of Heaters took flight to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 17, 2021. Born September 7, 1945 in Pennsylvania, she quickly made West Virginia her home.
Delores Jean was perfect in her soul – flawless in the eyes of her family. She enjoyed karaoke with her “Mister” and fishing on the riverbanks. She was the most good-hearted person ever created and never had a bad word towards another soul. While her body was always fragile, her spirit was always strong. She fought many illnesses and physical ailments, but she forever kept a smile on her face and a strong faith in the Lord. Today she is completely healed and walking with Jesus.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Elizabeth and Ralph Jackson, brothers and sisters: Bobby, Ralph, Bill, Buck, Ruth, and Ruby.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 52 years, Arden James Bender; sister, Jenny Duncan (Murl); her six daughters: Dawn Fox, Christina Anderson (John), Sherrie Graham (Andrew), Michelle Jay (Lee), Robin Zimmerman (Laramey), and Shannon Piner (Bud); thirteen grandkids: Sarah, Hannah, and Tabitha Fox, Jessica Bender (Tim), Brandi Alder (Brandon), Bradly Alder (McKenzie), Noah Graham, Faith Justice (Allen), Jade Jay, Zippy Zimmerman, Briauna Thomas (Anthony), and Owen Lewis, and four great grandsons: Parker, Damon, Jacob, and Edward. She also leaves behind three adopted daughters: Betty Fuery, and Roberta and Linda Boggs, as well as numerous other relatives and family.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Road, Flatwoods, WV 26621. Visitation is from 12:00 - 2:00 PM and funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Rick Childers officiating. Interment will follow at Boggs Cemetery.
