Obituary for Ina June Knight

Ina June (Shaver) Dennison Knight, 88 of Exchange, WV went home to be with the Lord January 19, 2021 at Braxton County Memorial Hospital following a short illness. Ina June was born on May 22, 1932 on Perkins Fork in Braxton County WV, a daughter of the late Thermon Scott and Lena (Dennison) Shaver.
Ina June, known to some as “June Bug” was a loving wife of Raymond G. Dennison (Deceased) for 39 years and William (Bill) Knight (Deceased) for 14 years. She was a loving mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.

June is survived by her two daughters, Donna (Dennison) Butler (George) and Jane (Dennison) Murphy (Charles) both of Exchange, WV. Step sons John Knight (Kathy) of Magnolia, DE and Lawrence Knight (Lisa) of Burnsville, WV. She had five Grandchildren, 14 Step Grandchildren (one deceased), eight Great-Grandchildren, 35 Step Great-Grandchildren and three Step Great Great-Grandchildren and one on the way . She is also survived by a brother, Vinten Shaver of LaOtto, Indiana and sister, Patty (Shaver) Moore of Cleveland, Tennessee. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her siblings Forrest Shaver (Donna-(dec), Daphyne Shaver, Imogene (Shaver) Hawkins (Ray-(dec), Fountain Shaver (Nancy-(dec), M. Elizabeth (Shaver) Hobbs Porter (Carleton Hobbs-(dec) (Elvie Porter-(dec), Larry Shaver (Loretta of NC), Sharon (Shaver) Helton (Henry-(dec), Janet (Shaver) Davis Oliver (Gene Davis-(dec) Melvin Oliver-(dec), Clifford Shaver (Donna of Ohio),
She attended Shavers Fork Community Church in her later years until she was unable. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 33 of Braxton County WV and a past member of the CEOs of Burnsville, WV.

Ina June was a beloved member of her community. She loved worshiping the Lord, spending time with her family, gardening when she was able and cooking. No matter what she was doing she was singing hymns.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Road, Flatwoods WV, 26621 from 11-1 pm. Funeral Services will follow in the Stockert-Paletti Chapel with Pastor Buddy Lemon officiating. Interment will follow at the Jacob Shaver Memorial Cemetery in Exchange, WV.
