Obituary for Eakle D Wine
Eakle D. Wine, 93, of Napier, WV, went home to be with the Lord on December 26, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Eakle was born January 19, 1927 to the late Jacob Newton and Lilly (Allen) Wine in Napier, WV.
He worked for Penn Line and later for the Braxton County Board of Education. He served in the US Army and was a WWII veteran. Eakle was a member of Sunrise Community Church where he served the Lord faithfully.
Preceding Eakle in death is his first wife, Treva Conrad Wine whom he shared 49 years with; son Ronnie Eugene Wine and infant daughter Sharoyn Wine; brothers, Buster, Jim, Luther, Thomas, Cecil and John; sisters, Ethel, Ina, Marie, Sharon and stepdaughter Linda Fields. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Mildred Gaston Wine whom he shared 24 years with; his children, Virginia Davis of Charles Town, Debra A. Brown of Charles Town, Larry E. Wine of Sutton, Charlie Wine of Heaters, Jerry “Rocky” Wine of Napier, Randy (Reba) Wine of Shenandoah Junction, Rick Wine of Martinsburg, and Timothy (Brenda) Wine of Inwood; stepchildren Jay (Reva) Gaston of Reedsville, Gary (Sharon) Gaston of Exchange. Pat (Dale) Morrison of Sutton, and Roger (Cindy) Gaston of Sutton; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and all who loved him dearly
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Road, Flatwoods WV, 26621 from 11-1 pm. Funeral Services will follow in the Stockert-Paletti Chapel with Pastor Dennis Shaver officiating. Interment will follow at the Little Kanawha Memorial Gardens in Heaters, WV.
