Irvin Moyer Samples, 92, of Strange Creek passed away October 30, 2020 at his home. He was born May 2, 1928 in Widen and was the son of the late Jon Corbett and Mattie Butcher Samples. Along with his parents, he is also preceded in death by a brother Elliott Samples and a sister Savina Allen.
Irvin was United State Marine Veteran, worked in the auto body industry and attended Eureka Church. He enjoyed playing music on his guitar, singing, gardening, and sawmill work.
Surviving are his wife, Darlena Price Samples; children, Suellen Fast, James Samples, Regina Williams, Melda Clark, Dennis Samples, Angela Samples and Gregory Samples and also several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Friends and family may call at Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Rd, Flatwoods, WV on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 from 1:00-2:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm with Pastor Ray Teets officiating. Interment, with military honors, will immediately follow at Eureka Church, Strange Creek.
