James C. Ratliff, 82, of Heaters, WV passed suddenly at his home on October 21, 2020. Jim was born in Long Run, WV on February 27, 1938 to the late Mack and Alice Groff Ratliff.
In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by all eleven brothers and sisters.
Jim leaves behind a large and loving family. He is survived by children: Shirley (Daniel) Teter of Heaters, WV, Suzanne (Mark) Wine of Burnsville, WV, Christel Ratliff of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Travis Milam of Cleveland, OH; grandchildren: James (Kim) Teter, Kenneth Teter, Brittany (Brandon) Blake, Stephanie (Adam) Smyth, Quinton Wine, Jason (Kelly) Ratliff, and Josh (Addy) Hoffman; great-grandchildren: Cameron, Danielle, Haygen, Jackson, MaLeah, MaKinley, Brooklyn, and Hazeley; and step-great-grandchildren: Kasey, Alyssa, Dakota, and Terrance.
Jim retired from Arrow Aluminum of Avon Lake in Cleveland, OH in 2000 and returned home to Braxton County. He enjoyed going to Lewis County Square Dancing, hunting, fishing, bird and squirrel watching, gardening, and the beauty of nature.
Friends and family may call at Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Rd, Flatwoods, WV on Sunday, October 25, 2020 from 1:00-2:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm with Pastor Delmas Singleton officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Little Kanawha Memorial Gardens in Heaters, WV.
