Freda Gay (Williams) Kniceley, 84, of West Milford, WV gained her heavenly wings on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Genesis Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. Freda was born March 24, 1935 at Holly, WV, the only daughter of the late Oren B. and May Williams. On January 21, 1952 Freda married the love of her life, Robert Kniceley, who preceded her in death on November 3, 1998. In addition to her husband, Freda was preceded in death by one son, Charles Kniceley, 3 grandsons and 7 brothers.
Surviving to keep Freda’s memories alive are sons, Howard (Donna) Kniceley, Weston, WV, James Kniceley, Buckhannon, WV; daughters, Gladys (Mike) Kotrys, Freedom, NY and Amy (Rick) King, Clarksburg, WV. Also surviving is one brother, Claris (Susie) Williams, Lakemore, OH; 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Freda enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo, trips to the ocean and cooking. Freda was a Methodist by faith.
Family will receive friends Monday, August 26, 2019 from 5-9 pm at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Road, Flatwoods, WV 26621. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 11:00 am in the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Terry Layton officiating. Interment will follow in the Newville, WV. In lieu of flowers family suggest that donations be made to the Amedisys Hospice, 67 Casino Drive Suite 102, Anmoore, WV 26323.
