Wilma (Criner) Hurd, 72, of Heaters, WV, departed this life on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at United Hospital Center, Bridgeport, WV surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on January 4, 1947 at Gassaway, WV, to the late Harold Criner and Louise (Kelly) Criner. Also preceding her in death was her son, Emmette “Buddy” Harold Hurd and a sister, Shirley Brannon.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Emmette “Bud” Hurd; daughter, Leasa Crump (Scott) of Flatwoods, WV; grandsons, Jordan Batton and Ethan Crump; granddaughters, Olivia Crump, Erika Crump and Elizabeth Crump. Also surviving are brothers, James and Rick Criner.
Wilma loved playing bingo and yellow roses were her favorite flower.
She will be missed terribly by her family and her little yorkie, Roscoe.
Family will receive friends on Monday, April 22, 2019 at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Road in Flatwoods, WV 26621 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm. Funeral Service will follow in the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Gary Devart officiating. Interment will follow in the Little Kanawha Memorial Gardens.
