Jimmy Pritt, age 72 of Burnsville, WV stepped into eternity to join his Lord and Personal Savior on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Braxton County Memorial Hospital due to an apparent heart attack.

Jimmy was born on June 26, 1946 at home on Hyers Run, West Virginia to the late Virgil “Buck” Pritt and Elsie (Blake) Pritt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister Helen Louise Pritt, Brother Billy Pritt and Brother Dennis Pritt.

He is survived by his two sons Rodney (Lori) Pritt of Heaters WV; Tod (Kelly) Pritt of Burnsville WV; and five cherished Grandchildren: Christian Pritt, Thomas Pritt, Tessa Pritt, Drew Pritt and Lauren Pritt. He is also survived by his ex-wife, but loving friend Betty Pritt and siblings; Everett Pritt, Paul “Bucky” Pritt, Donald Pritt, Carol Sumpter (Pritt) and Mary Wine (Pritt) along with several nieces, nephews and Brother-in-Law Rudy “Pudge” Anthony, whom he thought the world of.

Jimmy enjoyed hunting, trapping, restoring vintage cars, especially Ford Broncos, working on his farm and spending time with family, especially his Grandchildren whom he loved dearly.

He took an active role in his community by serving several terms as the Mayor and Recorder for the Town of Burnsville, as well as serving several terms as the Chairman of the Burnsville Utility Board. During this time Jimmy ensured the town was well-cared for and was instrumental in building Dr. Katiny’s current office building and pharmacy. He was actively involved with the Kanawha Alumni Association and “The Friday Night Gang”, who is responsible for hosting the Friday Night Cookout prior to the annual Burnsville Alumni Banquet.

Family will receive friends on Monday, January 28, 2019 at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral, 378 Flatwoods Corner Road, Flatwoods, WV, from 4 to 8 P.m. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jason Allen officiating.
