Obituary for Pam Faye Stewart (Post)

Pam Post Stewart, 51, of Burnsville, WV passed away on December 26, 2018 at the Cleveland Clinic after a valiant fight with cancer. She was born July 8, 1967 in Parkersburg, WV, a daughter of the late Vinsen Post and Evelyn Post of Flower, WV.
Pam will be remembered for her sweet and loving personality. She never met anyone that she did not love, especially children and animals. Her journey and valiant fight with colorectal cancer became known throughout the country as her fight was chronicled by her loving sister and primary caregiver, Betsy, through her Facebook page, “Cards and Support for Pam Post Stewart.” She became an inspiration to those, like her, who were battling Stage IV Colorectal Cancer, because she always maintained her positive attitude, her smile, and her world-famous thumbs up, no matter what procedure or treatment she was enduring at that moment.
Pam was a graduate of Braxton County High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She chose caregiving as her profession because of her love for the elderly and disabled. She was an employee of Central WV Aging Services, Inc. and a former employee of the Braxton County Sheltered Workshop. A Christian by faith, Pam was a member of the Burnsville United Methodist Church and a former member of the Right Hand Fork United Methodist Church.
Pam is survived by her mother, Evelyn Post; husband, Harold Stewart and stepson, Harold (Jake) Stewart; sisters, Sandy Post and Betsy Post-Garza, Esquire (John); and many aunts, uncles, niece, Grace Marks; and nephews, Jordan Flynt and Zachary Flynt; and many cousins of whom she was so fond.
A celebration of Pam’s life will commence with visitation hours of 4 pm to 8 pm on Saturday, December 29, 2018 with funeral services on Sunday, December 30, 2018,at 2 pm at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Road, Flatwoods, WV with Reverend Doug Smailes officiating.
