John Wayne Norvell Sr., 76, of Napier, WV passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Ruby Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was born on November 1, 1942.
He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 57 years Judy Norvell; daughter, Rene Browning, Napier and son, John Wayne Norvell Jr., Charleston. Also surviving are grandchildren, John Wesley Norvell, Atlanta, GA, Edward Shaun Norvell, Hendersonville, NC and Melinda Sue Bennett, Cincinnati, OH and his faithful puppy, Abbey; brother, James Ocala, FL.
John was a former Marine and Coal Miner. He enjoyed being outside and working on riding lawn mowers. He was a Baptist by faith and attended Chapel of Prayer Baptist Church, Exchange, WV.
There will be a graveside service only on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Falls Mill Cemetery on Curry Ridge Road with Pastor Ryan Skidmore officiating.
