Debra Ann Godfrey, 65, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the River Oaks Rehabilitation Center, Clarksburg, WV. She was born in Gassaway, WV on June 12, 1952 to the late Bill Crislip and Amelia (Linger) Crislip. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Robert W. Godfrey who passed in 2001, daughter Robin R. Godfrey and brother, Jerry Crislip.
Those left to survive are sons, Robert S. Godfrey (Sheila) Frametown, WV, stepson, Scott McHenry, Hundred, WV; daughter, Debra K. Godfrey and boyfriend, Melvin Cutright, Weston, WV; brothers, Terry (Margie) Crislip, Burnsville, WV, Larry Crislip and significant other Carol Thomas, West Union, WV and 8 grandchildren, Joey Godfrey, Robbie Williams, Jordan Godfrey, Brianna Brady, Jasmine Crothers, Matthew Crothers, Chris Severance, Brendan Crothers and 2 great grandchildren, Christopher Tyler and Jeffery Tyler.
Debra was a wonderful cook and meatloaf was her specialty. She loved watching game shows such as The Price is Right, Wheel Fortune and Jeopardy and the soap opera, Days of Our Lives. She enjoyed working puzzles and reading. She was friendly to any and everyone who never met a stranger. She was kind and had a giving heart. She loved her family and her Chihuahua, Snoopy, was her pride and joy.
Family will receive friends on Friday, March 16, 2018 from 11-1 p.m. at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Road, Flatwoods, WV 26621. Funeral Services will follow calling hours and start at 1:00 p.m. at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Tannous officiating. Debra will be laid to rest in Newville Cemetery, WV.
