Obituary for Betty Ann Ratliff

Betty Ann  Ratliff
Betty Ann (Singleton) Ratliff, 70, passed away on February 15, 2018 in Baltimore, MD. Formerly of Falls Mill, WV she was born on December 13, 1947 to the late Jarvis Singleton and Frances (Singleton) Singleton. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Charles Ratliff whom she married on April 12, 1989.
She is survived by daughter, Darlene (Mose) Caldwell, Normantown, WV; sons “Steve” (Suzanne) Ratliff, Burnsville, WV and Charles Ratliff, Baltimore, MD; brother, Rondal Charles Singleton, Falls Mill, WV; sisters, Shirley M. Garretson, Falls Church, VA and Judy Lee (Roger) Woody, Rock Cave, WV. Also surviving are grandchildren, Eric Ratliff Baltimore, MD, Lyndzic W. (Franklin) Schaefer Baltimore, MD, Ryan Ratliff, Baltimore, MD, Andrew Ratliff, Baltimore, MD and Ethan (Taylor) Chadwell, Normantown, WV; five great grandchildren and two on the way. She is also survived by step-children, Cherry Dale (Dave) Ramsey, Jack Ratliff, four step-grandchildren, April, CW, Mary, Amy; seven step great grandchildren.
She graduated from the class of 1966, Burnsville, WV. Betty owned an automotive garage and was very active with the Boy Scouts and served as the treasurer for the Cub Scouts. She was a wonderful cook and especially good and making vegetable soup and pumpkin cake. She had a heart of gold and would help anyone that she could. She enjoyed reading mysteries and suspense stories and two of her favorite authors was Dean Koontz and Steven King. She was a friend to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be missed by all who knew her.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner, Flatwoods, WV 26621from 11-1 p.m. Funeral Services will follow in the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Delmas Singleton officiating. Interment will follow in the Taylor Cemetery, Salt Lick, WV. Words of Comfort and fond memories can be expressed to the family at stockert-palett.com.
