Dearest Grandpa Buddy, Saying good bye is very hard to do, but if we are dedicated to Christ, we have to trust in Him and let you go. I can't even imagine how many lives you have touched in your many years, but thank you so much for all that you have done. You never grew tired of talking about Jesus, and I want you to know that we never grew tired of listening to you. We loved and respected you. One of my favorite child hood memories is how you would spend time with us, and walk or bike to Pete's corner store, where you gave us each $1 to get whatever we wanted. That meant so much to me, and it still does. Thank you for your patience when I would be so indecisive at picking out my candy. Those times are a priceless memory to me. When we were at the funeral, I was thinking about how we can all get out there to share Jesus with the world, since you are not here to do it now, and it's up to us to continue your legacy. I was reminded of a story from a church member at home, who told us about when she was young and she was just doing her job, but did so with a smile on her face. And someone stopped and said to her,"You're a Christian, aren't you?" She said, "Yes, but how did you know?" And the person replied, "Because of the smile on your face, I can see Jesus in you." That is the greatest compliment she ever received is how she described it. So I hope and pray that we can all at least remember to do that, and remember that people see Jesus through us, and through what we say and what we do. I love you Grandpa, and I miss Grandma Mary and Uncle Al also. I'm pleased that you lived a long life here, and I hope to see you again in heaven with Jesus. Until then. Love, Teeah Sky.

Orange Sherbet just came to mind. Grandpop would take me for ice cream and get one but sometimes he would get Neapolitan bar with the crackers. Mish you grandpop wish we had more time just to sit on that bench at Pete's and enjoy our ice cream. Love ya!

Hey Grandpop, I'm not certain if you can read or hear this, but I sure hope you can. One day, if it even matters at that time, I'm sure you will. However, until that time, I want to say now that I love you. I'm not quite sure what that word means or truly feels like, but I believe that I do. I'll miss you Grandpa, and I thank you for all you have given us an given towards the work of God. I'll see you soon, in His time.

Pop,I love ya and hope to be with ya on that day, that I take my last breath! You took care of us,your family, hardly missed any work.Thank you for all those special times, fishing, hunting, all the Christmas'es,birthdays, house of neptune southern fried hard crabs, captain harveys and sub stop wonderful meals,oh my,I can't forget Squire's pizza, the infamous double or triple dip butter brickle ice cream at High's when it was deep yellow butter brickle. That super size flounder, that got away but we got a good look at him!Our sometime's heavy discussions of Holy Writ.I am sorry for the times I failed ya daddy, you were a good earthly dad:all in all!But mostly I can say,not just because you were my pop,but that I did not know of anyone with more zeal then you for people's soul's outside of THE LORD and some of the apostle's in Holy scripture! So dad I will not say good-bye,but I will say by the work of THE LORD JESUS CHRIST up on that cross for us,that I'm on my way home daddy.See ya when HE call's me.Your 1st born Jimmy.
