Naomi “Dorsie” Deloris (Helmick) Brown, 68 of Exchange, WV went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 19, 2018 at CAMC in Charleston, WV. She was born in Bonnie, WV on August 13, 1949 to the late Edward Helmick who passed away in 1996 and the late Irma (Knight) Helmick who passed away in 1994. Also preceding her in death was a sister, Judy Fincham.
Those left to cherish her memory are husband, Jerry Brown, whom she married on March 2, 2002; sons, Harry Bosley, Exchange, WV, Jimmy Bosley, Exchange, WV, Tracy Bosley, Burnsville, WV and Christopher Brown, Craigsville, WV; daughters, Pamela Duffield (David), Frametown, WV, Amy Gray, Gassaway, WV and Melissa Carper (Shane), Tallmadge, OH; brothers, Larry Helmick, Weston, WV, sister, Brenda Stewart (Paul), Burnsville, WV. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dorsie was a Christian and attended the Sunrise Community Church faithfully. She loved nature and enjoyed camping, fishing, the lake, boats or just walking outdoors enjoying the beauty surrounding her and the sunshine beating down on her. If she caught a really large fish, she would get all excited and would want someone to help her reel it in. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, always being in a good mood and happy go lucky. She loved when she could make those around her smile and feel happy. Her greatest accomplishments were being a wonderful loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and Aunt to her family. She treasured the time that she had with all of her family and especially enjoyed her granddaughter, Ariel Bosley, in teaching her to prepare meals for the family she loved so dearly. She was well known for her fabulous Thanksgiving spread that she would prepare for all of those she loved.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Road, Flatwoods, WV 26621 from 5-8 pm. The Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dennis Shaver officiating.
