Eloise Mae ""Ellie Mae""  Everette (Williams)
Eloise Mae Everette, “Ellie Mae”, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Pittsboro, North Carolina on November 25th, 2017. Born to Mae and French Williams in Falls Mill, West Virginia on March 10th, 1933, Ellie was one of seven children. She will return home to be buried at Falls Mill Cemetery beside her parents.
Ellie is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, David Curtis Everette, of Pittsboro, North Carolina; son Mike Everette and wife Margie of Hampton, Virginia; daughter Judy Brill and husband Jerry of Newport News, Virginia; son Steve Everette and wife June of Pittsboro, North Carolina; daughter Jeanie Lawrence and husband George of Pittsboro, North Carolina; eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. She is also survived by her sister, Shirley Shires of Clayton, North Carolina, with whom she has shared countless laughs.
Ellie loved spending with her family, camping in Falls Mill, West Virginia, cooking, baking cakes, gardening and taking care of her many flowers. She took special interest in her grandchildren and played a significant role in their upbringing. She took in any dog or cat that needed a home and loved them with all her heart.
The family would like to thank Community Home Care & Hospice for their exceptional care during her last days with us. They would also like to thank the UNC Hospital Rehabilitation Center for their amazing care of Ellie after her stroke in 2012.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Road, Flatwoods, WV 26621, from 12-1p.m. Following visitation Funeral Services will be held at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Following Funeral Services Interment will take place in the Falls Mill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Home Care & Hospice of Sanford, North Carolina. Words of comfort and fond memories can be shared with the family at stockert-paletti.com
In closing, and in the words of her 14 year old great granddaughter, Alyssa, who wants to be like her, she was . . . “Strong, Kind Hearted, Happy and Loving.”
