Obituary for Emogene Baker

Emogene (Shackelford) Baker, 81, of Heaters, WV passed away August 30, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 19, 1935 at Sand Fork, WV, the daughter of the late Cecil Eaustace Shackleford and Lena Radcliff. Also preceding her in death was daughter, Vicky Baker, brother, Robert Shackleford, sister, Janette Gill and one great grandchild.
She left behind four sons, Denver Shackelford (Sandra), Danville, VA, Clifford Baker (Lana), Princeton, WV and Larry Posey, Heaters, WV and Michael Perrine (Judy), Kingman, AR; three daughters, Kathy Perrine Harris, Remmington, WA, Brenda Baker Cayton (Jeff), Napier, WV, Susan Posey Williams, New Kirk, OK; brothers, Ray Shackelford (Martha), Kenna, WV and Larry Shackleford, Weston, WV; and sisters, Vernita Shackelford Moyers, Glenville, WV, Alma Shackelford, Montgomery, WV and Melody Shackelford (Jeff), Glenville, WV; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Emogene was a hard worker, a wonderful mother and would always help anyone in need. She was an excellent country cook and was employed at Lloyds Food store, Heaters Grocery store, Go-Mart and Ben Franklins. She attended Tinchenel United Methodist Church.
Per her request she will be cremated and there will be no service.
