Obituary for Ramona Lea Daft

Ramona Lea  Daft
Ramona Lea Daft, 62, of Fairmont, WV went to be with the Lord on January 24, 2017 at the Select Specialty Hospital-Charleston, St. Francis, Charleston, WV. Ramona was born on September 7, 1954 in Sutton, WV to the late Cora Emma Riffle. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Daft, who passed away August 12, 2013 and a brother, Robert Riffle.
Those left to cherish her memory are son, Charles (Cole) M. Smith, Heaters, WV; sisters, Geneva Prince (Arch), Strongville, OH and Emma Riley, Burnsville, WV; grandson, Jayden Smith, and sister-in-law Sue Buckhannon of Shinnston, WV and several nieces and nephews.
Ramona was a Methodist by faith and attended Berry Fork United Methodist Church. She was a telephone operator for Bell Atlantic and later for AT&T for approximately 20 years before she took retirement. She loved to read anything that she could get her hands on; magazines, newspapers and books. She loved to travel, especially the beach, however her main love was spending time with her family and those that she loved.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home from 11-1 p.m. Funeral services will follow visitation at 1:00 pm in the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kay Lake officiating. Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Select Specialty Hospital-Charleston, 333 Laidley Street, Charleston, WV 25301.
