Obituary for Lonnie Prince

Lonnie  Prince
Lonnie, WV preciously of Castalia, OH went to be with his Lord and Savior on Nov. 24, 2016, after a lengthy illness at his home. Lonnie was born on Aug. 28, 1927 in Heaters, WV a son of the late Lewis K. Prince and Floda (Williams) Prince. On Nov. 17, 1949 he married Olive (Riffle) Prince and they share 51 years of marriage who passed away on Jan. 17, 2001. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by one great-grandchild, siblings Ruth Arbogast, Laymond Burroughs, Paul Burroughs and Harold Burroughs. He later married Edith (Adams) 14 years ago who survives.
After grading from Burnsville High School in 1945 he joined the Army Air Force in 1946. He was stationed in Germany from 1946-1949. Lonnie then went to work for Ford Motor Company in Sandusky, OH from 1953 to 1983. He was a great Christian man and was active in the Tichenal United Methodist Church where he served as superintendent. He enjoyed deer hunting, baseball, farming and Pastor Bill Graham.
Lonnie is survived by son E. Michael Prince and wife Sandy of Heaters, WV, daughters Debra Justice and husband Rick of Castalia, OH, Pam Tetzloff and husband Glen of Sandusky, OH. Also surviving grandkids, Tina, Adam, Aaron, Amanda, Danielle and Jacob and 11 great grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers Arch (Geneva) Prince of Heaters, WV, Bud (Opaline) Prince of Sutton, WV and sister, Evelyn (Finis) Barnes of Clarksville, TN.
Family will receive friends on Monday, Nov. 28, 2016 at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Road, Flatwoods, WV 26621 from 10-12 p.m. Funeral services will follow visitation at noon at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eric Veltre and Rev. Bryan Bukovesky officiating. Interment will follow in the Lake Lane Cemetery in Heaters, WV. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Billy Graham, Billy Graham parkway, Charlotte, NC 28201 or to the Tichenal United Methodist Church in care of Michael Prince, 66 Old Homestead Lane, Heaters, WV 26627.
