Obituary for Nyal "Jeff" Hay's Jeffries

Nyal “Jeff” Hay’s Jeffries, born May 3, 1929 passed away September 18, 2018 at his residence. He was the son of Dorsey and Irma (Collins) Jeffries who preceded him in death and son-in-law, Phillip Simmons.
Surviving is his wife of 63 years, Dorothy Joan (Harris) Jeffries; 3 daughters, Debora (Dewell) Spence of Glenville, WV, Janet Simmons and Linda & Richard Graff of Burnsville. He has 2 grandchildren, Whitney Simmons Rooper and Chance Graff.
Nyal was a Methodist by faith and attended the Burnsville United Methodist Church. He served his Country in the United States Army as a Military Policeman stationed on Okinawa, Japan in the Korean War and was employed 38 years for Equitable Gas Compressor Station located in Burnsville. He also was a member of the Burnsville Masonic Lodge. He was an avid sports fan and he enjoyed watching Glenville State football games. He enjoyed hunting squirrel and telling jokes.
Family will receive friends on Friday, September 21, 2018 at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home 378 Flatwoods Corner Road, Flatwoods, WV 26621 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Immediately following visitation Internment will follow in the K & P Cemetery with Full Military Honors conducted by the American Legion Post 33.
