Obituary for Roy Lee Lipps

Roy Lee Lipps, 76, of Heaters, WV went peacefully to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Roy was blessed in many ways and loved by so many people. He served in the United States Army where he was a heavy vehicle driver, a rifle expert and sharpshooter. After the Army Roy enjoyed being a long-distance truck driver, heavy equipment operator and then owned Nancy’s Bar with his deceased Wife, Nancy Lipps. Roy was a member of the local VFW and the Moose he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and he also liked to collect and trade guns.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Minokah Willicene Lipps and John Wallace Lipps. Roy is survived by his daughter, Minokah, son, Rocky, Daughter-in-Law, Christy; his grandchildren, Jason, Justin, Christopher, Shane, Brooke and Renata, as well as his great-grandchildren and his first wife Betty Lipps. Roy will be forever missed, he will live on in so many hearts.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home 378 Flatwoods Corner Road, Flatwoods, WV 26621 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral Services will immediately follow in the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jason Allen officiating. Interment will follow Funeral Services in the Little Kanawha Memorial Garden, Heaters, WV with Full Military Honors conducted by the American Legion Post 33.
