Roy Junior Holcomb, 80, of Frametown, WV passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018 at CMAC Hospital, Charleston, WV surrounded by his loving daughters, Katy Butcher (John), Julie Thomas and Lynne Thomas. He was born on July 10, 1937 in Webster Springs, to the late Roy Raymond Holcomb and Dora Gladys (Blankenship) Holcomb.

Those left to cherish his memories are daughters, Dora Yvonne Loudin (Tim), Buckhannon, WV, Katy Butcher (John), French Creek, WV, Julie Thomas and her partner for life, Timothy Richardson, who resided with him and his pick of the liter, his very favorite daughter, Desta Lynne Thomas (Bill), of Gassaway, WV. Also surviving are grandchildren Rusty Wayne Page (Rebecca), Fairview, WV and Cara Elaine Neel (Danny), Bridgeport, WV; great grandchildren, Ethan Alexander Neel, Jashira Michell Neel and Jared James Neel. Also, surviving are several step- grandchcildren and step-great grandchildren.

He had his own sawmill for many years where he worked tirelessly to provide for his family. He was one of the hardest working men and has passed this onto his daughters. In his younger days he could fix almost anything and had more patience than most people have. He had very few friends as his daughters were everything to him. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, rook, gardening, but most of all spending time with his girls and his dog, Sassy.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Frametown Fire Department, Braxton County EMS, Braxton County Memorial Hospital and Dr. Douglas Given for referring us to CMAC in Charleston where he had the best Nurses and Doctors we could have asked for. They all truly cared about their job and Dad and it showed in the care that they gave him. A very sincere appreciation to Dr. Gregory Peters, Buckhannon for all that he has done for Dad over all these years. He couldn’t have had a better doctor and he was also considered a friend. Also a special thanks to Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home for all the understanding, compassion and support they have given the family.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Road, Flatwoods, WV 26621 from 11-1. Services will follow in the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jason Allen officiating. Interment will follow in the Rock Cave Cemetery.
