James "Pag" Watson  Conrad
James “Pag” Watson Conrad, 83, of Gilmer Station, WV, passed away on June 7, 2018 at the Braxton County Memorial Hospital. He was born March 2, 1935, in Braxton County, WV to the late Dick Wines and Ann Conrad. Also preceding him in death was wife, Peggy Sue Conrad; son, Gerald Conrad; grandson, Michael Conrad; brothers, Bud Conrad, Bill Conrad, Issac Conrad, Virgil Conrad Carl Conrad and William Deat Conrad; sister, Goldie Maxine Harbert.
He is survived by sons, Tim and (girlfriend, Catina), Sand Fork, WV, Johnny (Julie) Conrad, Sand Fork, WV; daughter, Rhonda Riffle, Glenville, WV; brother, Roy Conrad and (Vicki), Burnsville, WV; sister, Evelyn Carson and
Bertha “Mone” Ratliff; 6 grandchildren, Airiana Hoard, Latisha Riffle and Andrew Sirbaugh, Clarksburg, WV, Devin Riffle (Courtney), Nutter Fort, WV; Wesley Conrad, (girlfriend, Ashley Tanner), Jacob Conrad and Chelsey Pyles; 2 great grandchildren, Harlea Conrad and James Lukas Sirbaugh. Family friend and caretaker, Vicki Malcomb, who was always there when we needed her.
He served his Country in the United States Army and was a line man in the energy industry. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was well known for his baked pies and his cookies. He also watched a lot of westerns and his favorites were any that had John Wayne in them. George Jones was his favorite country music singer.
Family will receive friends at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Flatwoods Road, Flatwoods, WV 26621 from 11-1 a.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2018. Funeral Services will follow in the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rodney England officiating. Interment will follow in the Helmick Cemetery where he will receive Full Military Honors from American Legion Post 33. Memories and Condolences can be expressed to the family at stockert-paletti.com.
