Obituary for Deborah Lynn Hamrick (Long)

Deborah Lynn Hamrick of Herold Road, Sutton, WV went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 27, 2017 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. Deborah is the daughter of James Long and Virginia (Mullins) Long of Tesla, WV Deborah she was born in Sutton, WV on November 18, 1957 in Sutton, WV.
Deborah is survived by her loving husband Jeffery “Jeff” H. Hamrick whom she married on January 12, 1980. Also surviving is daughter Leslie Loggins and husband Adam of Herold, grandchildren Cataleya and Elyka Loggins at home. In addition to her parents, husband, daughter, and grandchildren, Deborah is survived by brother James Rodney Long and wife Sharon of Martinsburg, WV.
Deborah was Baptist by faith and attended the Gassaway Baptist Church. Deborah was a graduate of Glenville State College with a social work degree. She worked at the Weston State Hospital and then the Braxton County Senior Center. Deborah loved being outdoors she loved working in her flower gardens, her vegetable garden and she especially took great pride in her tomatoes. Deborah also loved to sing and to ride in the side by side with her husband, and she loved her family and being with them. She also enjoyed caring for and helping the people she worked with at the Weston State Hospital and the Braxton County Senior Center.
