Leo Junior Thomas, 71, of Mountain View Estates, Flatwoods, WV passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Persinger/Nicholas County on February 14, 1946 to the late George C. Thomas and Virgie (Ward) Thomas. Also proceeding him in death were two brothers Franklin and Francis Thomas.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Norma Jean (Frame) Thomas whom he married on April 12, 1968; son, Mike Thomas (Linda), Sutton, WV; daughter, Christine Thomas, Flatwoods, WV; brothers; George (Betty) Thomas, Summersville, WV, Alfred (Leona) Thomas, Summersville, WV; sisters, Phyllis Ward, Summersville, WV and Mary (William) “Wimp”, Frame, Sutton, WV; several nieces and nephews, cousins, special nieces and nephews Toni, Randy, Robin and Michael.
Leo enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and building bird houses. He also enjoyed farming and cattle and his two dogs, Jake and Misty. He especially liked washing his special edition 1992 Chevy Silverado.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 6-8 pm at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Drive Flatwoods, WV 26621. Following visitation Leo Junior Thomas will be cremated and then buried.
