Daniel N. Umanetz, 69, of Exchange, WV passed Friday, March 24, 2017 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. He was born January 24, 1948 in Hartford, CT a son of the late Nikodim Umanetz and Mary Nawroski.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Catherine Jeski; sons, Stephen M. Umanetz and John D. Umanetz, of Exchange, WV. Also surviving are nieces, Chrissy, Stephanie, Erica and nephew, Tony.
Dan was a computer draftsman and worked for Pratt-Whitney Aircraft in Hartford, CT for thirty plus years and then moved to WV and was employed by Napa of Sutton, WV.
Mr. Umanetz was a Catholic by faith and was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus Counsel #10347 and Past Grand Knight.
Family will receive friends at the St. Thomas Church, Gassaway, WV 26621 on Saturday, April 29, 2017 with a Rosary Service at 9 a.m. with Father Rene Gerona and Father Thien Duc Nguyen officiating and visitation from 9-11 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held following visitation at 11 a.m. Words of Comfort and memories may be expressed to the family at stockert-paletti.com.
