Obituary for Eddie Dale Shaver

Eddie Dale Shaver, 77, of Weston, WV and formerly of Petersburg, WV passed away March 15, 2017 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. He was born on March 1, 1940, in Exchange, WV the son of the late James Vaughn Shaver and Wilma Virginia Dennison Shaver. On April 1, 1961 he married Twila Jolene Stewart Shaver who proceeded him in death on September 1, 2015. Also preceding him in death are sister, Yvorre Shaver, and brothers Dewey, Averal and David Shaver.
Those left to cherish his memory is son, Thomas D. Shaver (Holly), Winchester, KY; daughter Pamela J. Whetzel (Wayne) Petersburg, WV; brothers, Robert Shaver, Flatwoods, WV, Dwaine Shaver (Patsy) of Newark, DE, Calvin Shaver (Lorraine), Weston, WV, Jerry Shaver (Sharon), Exchange, WV; sisters Wilma Foster, Flatwoods, WV, Reta Cogar (Tim) of Flatwoods, WV, Karen Mowery, Gassaway, WV, Anita Cook (Cookie) of Flatwoods, WV grandchildren, Zachary W. and Kaitlyn J. Whetzel, Miriam L. Shaver and great grandson, Caysen J. Wimer.
Mr. Shaver served his Country in the United States Army and National Guard. He was a Baptist by faith and worked for Henderson Drilling as manager of water well drilling, he also worked in the water well drilling industry in Petersburg, WV and Delaware. He enjoyed hunting deer, squirrel, turkey and spending time outdoors. He also was very talented at wood working and made benches, furniture, night stands, magazine racks and gun cabinets.
Family will receive friends Monday, March 20, 2017, 4-8 pm at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Road, Flatwoods, WV 26621. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at the Morrison Ridge United Methodist Church, Airport Road, Sutton, WV with Reverend Jim Malick officiating.
