Obituary for Wilbur Williston

Wilbur Kelvin Williston, 80, of Ireland, WV went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 10, 2017 at his residence surround by his loving family. Wilbur was born on June 8, 1936 to the late Charles Williston and Maggie (Veith) Williston in Ireland, WV. On June 8, 1984 he married Monna Jeanie “Riffle” Williston who survives and would have had their 33 year anniversary this June. In addition to his parents Wilbur is preceded in death by brother, Kenneth Williston and 2 step great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife he is survived by sons Barry Williston (Judy) of Burnsville, Eric Williston (Laureen) of Sheffield Lake, OH, and step-son George Allman of Crawford, WV, also surviving are daughters Leila Eddy of Frametown, WV, Joyce Stock (Dan) of Medina, OH, Andrea Bockard of Elyria, OH; step-daughters, Barbara Wimer (Herb) of Walkersville, Phyllis Saville (Mark) of Burlington, WV, Anita Wimer (Lawrence) of Ireland, Lisa Turnipseed (David) of Milton, and Sharon Claypoole (Jamie) of Colorado Springs, CO. Also surviving is brother Freddy Williston of Ireland and sisters, Nina Barnett of Ireland and Geneva Love (Neal) of Napier. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild on the way; 18 step grandchildren, 16 great step grandchildren and 3 great-great step grandchildren.
Mr. Williston Served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Napier United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Carpenter’s Union. He was a hardworking man, he loved to hear the Napier Choir sing, he loved his Church, and his family.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Road, Flatwoods, WV 26621. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. from the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tom Cayton and Pastor Wilma Jackson officiating. Interment will be in the Falls Mill Cemetery with Full Military Honors conducted by American Legion Post 33. Fond Memories and condolences can be expressed to the family at stockert-paletti.com
