Howard Junior  Brown
Howard Junior Brown, 86, of Ohio passed away January 21, 2017 at his daughters home. He was born on December 19, 1930 in Sutton, WV, a son of the late Alvin Brown and Jauneta A. Mayse Brown. He was also preceded in death by five brothers; Homer, Tommy, Johnnie, Cooney and Leroy Brown and son-in-law Harold Hazeltine.
He was married to Shirley Anne Brower who survives; also surviving are daughters Terri Brown Hazeltine of Sidney, OH , Debra Brown Cummings (Ken) Troy, OH; sons, Howard Steven Brown (Jayne) of Bradford, OH, Billy Joe Brown (Leah ) of Piqua, OH, John H. Cline (Leigh) of Sidney, OH; sisters, Velma G. (Sissy) Craft (Joe) and Arawanna (Kate) Cooper of Sutton, WV; brother, Camden H. Brown (Gudrun) of Sutton, WV, Ricky (Janice) Brown, Sutton, WV; sister-in-law Brenda Coombs of Troy, OH and a host of beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Howard joined the US Army reserves in 1949 to 1951 and then enlisted with the US Army from 1951 to 1954. He was a Journeyman Lineman Electrician and a 50 year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was proud of his work experiences and loved talking about them. He enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie, Nascar racing and he especially loved living on the farm with his son, Howard Steven, for the last 10 years of his life. He was a dedicated father that would do anything for his children. We love you Daddy….a bushel and a peck.
Family will receive friends on Friday, January 27, 2017 at the Morrison United Methodist Church, Airport Road, Sutton, WV 26601 from 12-1 p.m. Funeral services will follow visitation at 1:00 pm at the Morrison United Methodist Church with Reverend Jim Malick officiating. Graveside rights will follow at the Morrison Cemetery, WV with full Military Honors being performed by the Braxton County American Legion Post 33 of Sutton, WV.
