Charles Odus Lively, 86, of Heaters, WV went to his eternal home on September 21, 2016. He was born on November 1, 1929. He was the son of Ocie and Odus Lively. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Stewart.
Charles worked construction and farming most of his life and was an army veteran previously serving in the Korean War. During his military time he was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge for active participation in ground combat. He was a member of Berry Fork United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma Mae Lively of Heaters; stepdaughters Pamela Steelman (husband, Jerry) of Fayetteville, Tennessee and Delores “Becky” Cockerham (husband, Greg) of La Plata, Maryland; step-grandchildren Michael Wagner (wife, Angie) of Zanesville, Ohio and Joshua Cockerham (wife Jessica) of La Plata, Maryland; brother Robert (wife, Mahala) of Charleston, West Virginia; sisters Betty Steele of Zanesville, Ohio and Mary Neal (husband, Rollie) of Clarksburg, West Virginia.

Family will receive friends on Friday, September 23, 2016 at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, Flatwoods, WV from 1-2 p.m. following visitation funeral service will be held at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Bryan Bukovesky officiating. Interment will follow funeral services in the Heaters Cemetery in Heaters, WV. In memory of Mr. Lively, donations may be mailed and made payable to: Berry Fork Chapel, Heaters, WV 26627.
