Carolyn Lea (Foster) McNeill, 70, of Sutton WV, departed this life on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg, WV. She was born on November 26, 1945, to the late Opha Foster and Martha "Francis" (Kashola) Foster in Sutton, WV.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death by her first husband, Ophia Kenneth Turner, her daughter, Eva Darlene Turner, and her brother, Olen "Bubby" Foster.
Those left to honor her memory are her husband, Bobby Wayne McNeill; Son, Michael Turner (Tina) of Palmetto, GA; Daughters, Dorlinda Sartin (Gary) of Crites Mountain, Little Birch, WV, Robin Linger (Chris) of Sutton, WV; (5) Grandchildren, Mike Turner, Sara Turner, Chris "CJ" Linger, Baxter Sartin, Allen Thayer; (3) Great Grandchildren, Bryant Sartin, Jada Sartin and Alexander Sartin. Also surviving are Sisters, Dianne Melvin (Basil) of Exchange, WV, Joan Stein Clyde, NY.
Carolyn was a Christian by faith, attending Cutlip Fork Church. She enjoyed tending to her garden, roses, and houseplants. She had a love for nature and wildlife, and found joy in fishing. She was an avid animal lover and kept many pets, including her dogs, Wally, Tiny and Hitler; her cat, Snowball; and many fish and frogs in her aquarium.
Family will receive friends on Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Road in Flatwoods, WV 26621 from 6:00-9:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Alvie Loyd officiating. Interment will follow in the Westfall Cemetery, Exchange, WV.
