Obituary for Clarence Johnson

Clarence  Johnson
Clarence Johnson, 90, of Long Run Rd, Napier, West Virginia passed away on Friday, September 26, 2015 at his residence. He was born on September 21, 1925 in Dutch, WV to the late Pete Johnson and Lula (Wine) Johnson. On April 12, 1949 he married Clara (Singleton) Johnson who survives.
Also surviving are children Clarence Dale Johnson and wife Deborah of Heaters, WV, Johnny Lee Johnson and wife Marsha of Heaters, WV, Neil Wayne Johnson and wife Sandi of Flatwoods, WV, Vivian Wood and husband Ricky of Moravian Falls, NC, Carol Grubb and husband Dale of Bristol, VA. Also surviving are grandchildren Rebecca Kougher and husband Dwayne of Gainesville, VA, Bradie Loeffel and husband Chris of Seattle, WA, Barbara Alexander and husband Rick of Laurinburg, NC, Terri Johnson of Morgantown, WV, Chad Johnson and wife Cindy of Burnsville, WV, Jessica Oliver and husband Steven of Canonsburg, PA, Brandon Johnson of flatwoods, Mitzi Jackson of Culpeper VA, Matthew Bailey of Heaters, WV. Also surviving are great-grandchildren Elizabeth Kougher, Aaron Kougher, Asher Alexander, Cody Johnson, and Kourtney Loane. In addition to his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren he is also survived by sisters Clota Balies and husband Earl of Weston, WV and Lena Martin of Sutton, WV, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Clarence was proceeded in death by brothers Lawrence, Pete, Walter, Jasper, James, and Reed Johnson, sisters Grace Johnson and Betty Langford.
Clarence served his Country during WW II as a member of the United States Army. Clarence was a hard worker he worked for Ford Motor Company, Republic Steel in Youngstown, OH, and lastly for the Army Corp of Engineers at the Burnsville Lake. He loved to Hunt in his younger years he also enjoyed farming, enjoyed his cattle, and raising a garden.
Family will receive friends for time of fellowship on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Road, Flatwoods, WV 26621 from 2-3 p.m. Following fellowship a memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Delmas Singleton officiating.
